“We have east, south and west exposures to choose from on a cool, windy site on the edge of the Coastal Range. As a result, I believe I have found a site where I can grow unique wines, wines that truly speak of this place.”
-Robert Brittan
Robert Brittan brings almost 50 years of winegrowing experience to this estate project.
Each vintage begins in January, when he makes his pruning decisions for the coming growing season. While he knows all the possible winemaking tricks available, he is determined to allow these wines to speak of the place where they are grown.
When selecting this 128-acre site in the foothills of the Coast Range, Robert predicted he could make at least five different Pinot noirs from this one vineyard, based on its diversity of elevation, facings, soil types and underlying geology. Since his first vintage in 2006 he has proven that prediction to be true. He is now producing six distinct Pinot noirs, plus an Estate Chardonnay and an Estate Syrah from this property.
